New Name for Mashpee Health Center
(Hyannis, August 6, 2012) Cape Cod Healthcare is pleased to announce that the Mashpee Health Center has been renamed the Rogers Outpatient Center. The new name recognizes longtime benefactors Charlie and Shirley Rogers of Marstons Mills and Naples, Florida, who have supported Cape Cod Hospital since 1974.
The Charlie and Shirley Rogers Outpatient Center on Route 28 in Mashpee will continue to offer primary care and walk-in services. Patients will also have access to specialty care, such as orthopedic and imaging services, and an on-site C-Lab located within the center. Street level and facility signage will be updated to reflect the new name; however, names of medical practices currently located at the center will remain the same.
Charlie and Shirley Rogers have been among the most loyal supporters of Cape Cod Hospital and Cape Cod Healthcare since 1974.
“We decided a long time ago that if we could help make a difference, we would,” said Charlie Rogers.
The naming of the Rogers Outpatient Center will serve as a way to honor Charlie and Shirley’s leadership and generosity and preserve their legacy as true philanthropists in the Cape Cod community – and especially at Cape Cod Healthcare.
“Charlie and Shirley have supported our health system every year for the past 38 years,” said Cape Cod Healthcare President and CEO Michael K. Lauf. “Their personal investment and resolve to make a difference is inspiring. We are honored to be naming one of our facilities for them.”
