Orleans Hospital Auxiliary to Meet
(Orleans, April 20, 2012) The Orleans Branch of the Cape Cod Hospital Auxiliary will welcome Ellen Spear, Executive Director of the Heritage Museum and Gardens in Sandwich, as guest speaker at its meeting on Tuesday, May 1. The program begins at 11 am at the Church of the Holy Spirit at Route 28 and Monument Road in Orleans. All those interested are welcome to attend.
Ellen will preview the Museum’s upcoming exhibit of Norman Rockwell paintings, photographs and memorabilia, entitled "Picturing Health.”
Organized in 1968 to support Cape Cod Hospital, the Orleans branch is the largest of the five branches of the Auxiliary. It is known throughout New England for its spectacular Holly Berry Bazaar held every two years in November. In addition, the branch is involved in many other activities, such as house and garden tours, fashion shows, luncheon card parties, yard sales, Valentine teas and a cookbook. On many occasions, the group has participated in the Orleans 4th of July Parade to demonstrate support for Cape Cod Hospital.
Anyone who is interested in learning more about the work of the Auxiliary is welcome to attend the May 1 meeting, or call for additional information at 508-862-5088.
