Cape Cod Health News, a news service of Cape Cod Healthcare, includes a regular television program designed to update and educate viewers on the latest news and innovations in the healthcare industry.

These 30-minute programs provide the latest health information, with expert advice and commentary from local physicians and healthcare providers.

The program is another way of keeping our patients, family members, friends and community members better informed about the often confusing and changing nature of healthcare, as well as the expert services available here on Cape Cod.

TV Show #7 - Falmouth Hospital Cape Cod Healthcare

This episode of Cape Cod Health News is all about Falmouth Hospital. Falmouth Hospital opened May 2, 1963 with 58 beds. Today, it’s part of Cape Cod Healthcare and has grown in size to 95 medical surgical inpatient beds on four floors, yet has maintained its status as a community hospital. Vascular surgery has continued to grow at Falmouth Hospital with the addition of Dr. Lindsey Korepta, recent addition to the vascular surgery team at Falmouth Hospital. Dr. James Knox helped recruit her to the team of vascular specialists. Next, when surgeon Jeffery Siegert and his wife, cardiologist Megan Titas met at Emory University Medical School, it was the beginning of a life filled with schooling, travel, and adventure, finally landing at Falmouth Hospital. Then, we visit the Seifer Women’s Health and Imaging Center opened in 2011. It’s taking a lead role in early detection of breast cancer, utilizing the latest imaging technologies. The Orthopedic program at Falmouth Hospital provides a cohesive team of skilled specialists, advanced technology and innovative treatment for total hip and knee patients.
