Barnstable County Regional Drive-Thru COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic in Hyannis is Open for Registration
For Immediate Release
January 29, 2021 – Barnstable, MA. Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment opened up registration for a regional drive-thru COVID-19 vaccine clinic to be held on Thursday, February 4 at the Hyannis at the Cape Cod Melody Tent at 21 W Main St, Hyannis, MA 02601.
If this clinic is not visible on the state map at mass.gov/COVIDVaccineMap, appointments can be made directly at www.maimmunizations.org while available.
Those who meet the following criteria are eligible to schedule an appointment for this clinic:
- Those who meet requirements for Phases 1 and the first tier of Phase 2 (residents are those 75 and over).
- Those who are living and working on Cape Cod.
Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment does not keep a general waitlist for residents trying to get the COVID-19 vaccine. However, when a resident attempts to make an appointment for local clinics online, and that clinic is full, you may be asked if you want to be on a waitlist list for that specific clinic. If we receive cancellations, we may contact you to fill a space. This mechanism in the scheduling platform exists to ensure that vaccine is not wasted.
We encourage you to assist those who need help navigating the online vaccine registration process. If a senior in your life does not use the Internet, such as a parent, grandparent, neighbor, please reach out to assist them. As clinics open for appointments, our COVID-19 Helpline volunteers will be available at (774) 330-3001 to assist anyone who needs help navigating the online registration process.
Barnstable County and our 15 local boards of health are working hard every day to get our residents vaccinated as quickly and efficiently as possible. We are eager to receive the vaccine from the State of Massachusetts so that we can put months of planning and coordination to work for you. As vaccine supply becomes steadier and we embark on vaccinating those most vulnerable to this virus in Phase 2, please also remember to continue taking precautions to inhibit community spread.
We are all in this together.
