Richard Silveria

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Richard Silveria was named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cape Cod Healthcare in 2021. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President and System CFO at University of Chicago Medicine, where he rebuilt the finance function, creating a highly competent, collaborative business partner for the entire organization by developing robust business intelligence, and cash and debt management strategies to support expansion strategy and patient care objectives.

Over the course of his career, Richard has built a record of successful turnarounds, reviving vulnerable health systems and leading organizational and operational changes to restore or enhance profitability. Richard has held leadership positions at Boston Medical Center, Mass General Brigham and Lawrence General Hospital.

Richard earned his MBA from Northeastern University and his BS from the University of Massachusetts. He is a frequent speaker, both regionally and nationally, on emerging challenges, payment systems, business intelligence and information systems in the healthcare industry.
