Comprehensive Breast Surgery Services, Close to Home
If surgery is required to treat breast cancer or benign breast disease, our trained surgeons who perform breast surgery are highly-skilled and experienced in the latest techniques. They collaborate closely with other specialists, including our plastic reconstructive surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, our breast patient navigators and support staff, and services such as the High-Risk Hereditary Cancer Program and nutrition counseling to create a patient's personalized care plan. Innovative surgical options offered at Cape Cod Healthcare include Hidden Scar™ breast surgery, nipple-sparing mastectomy and oncoplastic breast surgery.

Hidden Scar™ Breast Cancer Surgery
Hidden Scar™ breast cancer surgery provides an option for patients which minimizes scarring and helps to preserve the natural breast shape, with the aim of maintaining a woman’s physical appearance and lessening the emotional impact of breast surgery. In Hidden Scar™ lumpectomy and mastectomy surgery, a single incision is made along the natural folds of the skin to remove tissue, sparing the nipple, areola and surrounding breast tissue.
Cape Cod Healthcare was the first healthcare system in Massachusetts to offer this pioneering technique. Jill Oxley, MD, FACS has pursued additional training in oncoplastic breast surgery and was one of the first surgeons in the area to become Hidden Scar™ certified.
In addition, Naomi Kalliath, DO specializes in Hidden Scar™, oncoplastic surgery with tissue rearrangement, pedicled flaps, breast lifts and reductions at the time of surgery and flat aesthetic closures for mastectomies.
