General Cardiology

High-quality cardiovascular care begins in the community with our office-based cardiologists, who work with you and your primary care provider to address your treatment needs and keep you as healthy as possible. There are 38 cardiology providers within the Cape Cod Healthcare system, all of whom are highly trained and experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Your cardiologist will evaluate your symptoms and medical history, and may recommend tests for further evaluation. If your condition requires the services of a cardiac specialist, like a cardiac surgeon or interventional cardiologist, they will refer you to one of our exceptional physicians. Throughout your experience with a specialist, you remain under the care of your community cardiologist.

Cardiology Hospitalist Program

Should you require cardiovascular care while you are in the hospital, you will be referred to one of our Cape Cod Healthcare cardiology hospitalists. Patients who are admitted to the hospital are now almost universally seen and followed through their inpatient stay by a hospitalist physician.

On-site in the hospital day and night, hospitalists give patients prompt and complete attention. They consult with other clinical professionals in the hospital and work closely with your personal cardiologist to ensure you are receiving the best, more appropriate care. Every patient is given the same evidence-based treatment recommendations, regardless of which cardiology hospitalist sees you.
