Cape Cod Healthcare Successfully Completes Fundraising Campaign
Our Quality. Trust. Partnership. Campaign has been successfully completed, surpassing our $125 million goal by raising $144 million since it began in fiscal year 2017. The Campaign was buoyed by over 30,000 individual gifts and will help fund significant facility and service line upgrades across the Cape Cod Healthcare system.
Many Cape-wide projects received important funding through the Campaign including:
- The Barbey Patient Care Pavilion at Cape Cod Hospital – a new four-story facility that will house the outpatient Davenport-Mugar Cancer Center, inpatient cardiovascular floor and medical surgical floor; to open in 2025.
- JML Care Center in Falmouth – a 132-bed nursing facility totally renovated with all private rehabilitation rooms; reopened in fall 2022.
- The Capozzoli Surgical Suite at Falmouth Hospital – a new operating suite with renovation in process of the existing five OR rooms and two new rooms, as well as expansion of pre- and post-op areas; opening 2026.
- The Salerno Intensive Care Unit at Falmouth Hospital - a new 10-bed state-of-the-art ICU, opened in fall 2023.
- The Trachsel Neuroscience Institute in Hyannis – a new outpatient neurology and memory care center; opened in summer 2023.

- The White Radiation Oncology Floor in the Barbey Tower – a dedicated floor offering cutting-edge technology in radiation oncology with two new linear accelerators.
- The McGraw Cardiovascular Floor in the Barbey Tower – a dedicated floor offering inpatient, advanced cardiovascular care and specialized care following cardiac procedures.
- The Reilly Family Oncology Research Center – An endowment to support life-saving clinical trials for local cancer patients without traveling off-Cape.
- The Center for Behavioral Health – a two-floor psychiatric center within Cape Cod Hospital offering a new 20-bed inpatient floor and expanded outpatient facilities on adjacent floor.
The many essential facility upgrades and new construction projects further position Cape Cod Healthcare to deliver care in a manner that will draw more local patients to choose Cape Cod Healthcare for their treatments. New and improved facilities also play a vital role in the system’s plan to attract and retain the best physicians, nurses and clinical staff available.
