Nurse Residency & Transition Program
Cape Cod Healthcare offers an RN & LPN Residency and Transition Program for nurses in need of acute care experience. Start your career with us in acute care nursing and then consider additional training opportunities for the operating room, emergency department, critical care and maternity.
How it works
- 12-week, paid program that qualifies you as a regularly scheduled employee.
- Residency cohorts start in January, March, May, July, September and November. But you don’t need to wait for one of these months—we are able to accommodate you throughout the year.
- 32 to 36 hours per-week schedule—includes classroom work, observing patient care and preceptorships in nursing units.
- Day shifts the first eight to 10 weeks (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.), then training on your hired shift.
- After successful completion of this program, you will have the skills, knowledge and continued support of our education and management teams to embark on your nursing career.
