The Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) of Cape Cod’s Certified Home Health Aide Training Program is an opportunity for someone interested in starting a career in home health with no prior experience or training. Upon successful completion of the program, you’ll receive a recognized Home Health Aide Certification, boosting your employability and showcasing your commitment to excellence in the Home Health Care Setting.
Cape Cod Healthcare is pleased to offer this new opportunity for Certified Home Health Aide Trainees. This program is designed to welcome interested candidates to fill a VNA or McCarthy Care Center position prior to completing Home Health Aide certification. Training, supplies and materials will be fully covered by the VNA of Cape Cod, leaving participants with virtually zero out-of-pocket expenses.

How it Works
- Candidates will apply to the Certified Home Health Aide Training Program. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
- Once hired, the Certified Home Health Aide trainee will train on the day shift for approximately 4 weeks.
- Trainees are regular employees training takes place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday-Friday.
- Upon completion of the Certified Home Health Aide Program, incumbent will transfer into the Certified Home Health Aide role in the previously agreed upon assigned area of coverage.
- Training locations: Falmouth, Hyannis, Orleans, South Dennis, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.

Who Qualifies
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to operate a Smart Phone-based application.
- Able to understand and carry out direction and instruction.
