Maximizing performance and durability
What is the Titleist Performance Institute®?
Titleist Performance Institute® (TPI) is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing.
TPI-certified professionals work with all ages and experience levels to identify physical strengths and limitations, leading to customized fitness programs and improved swing mechanics.
At Cape Cod Healthcare we’ll work with you to develop a Golf Performance Fitness Program - a customized course that is tailored to each participant to improve mobility and form after spinal surgery or simply to establish safe and effective habits to avoid potential golf-related injuries.
Train like the Professionals
The program starts with an evaluation by a certified Titleist Performance Physical Therapist who performs specific golf movement tests to identify your levels of strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. These results will help to establish your customized Golf Performance Fitness Program, identifying which golf specific exercises are right for you to maximize your swing’s potential and improve your durability.
Our Titleist-certified physical therapists work in partnership with neurosurgeon Dr. Paul Houle, who is also certified in the Titleist Performance Institute®.
Our dedicated Golf Recovery Room provides a place where golfers can receive the latest tour-quality modalities to help them feel better and play better, on and off the course. In the Golf Recovery Room, our golf specialists can help you prepare for a local round of golf, help you stay pain-free through the golf season, or help you recover faster after a round.

“Throughout the winter, I participated in the CCHC Golf Performance Program. When possible, I attended twice weekly. These sessions were instrumental for increasing my flexibility and provided me with a series of exercises to maintain that flexibility. Catherine, a physical therapist, is a strong golfer and assisted me with an analysis of my swing mechanics using simulation tools and hands on instruction. I’m swinging the club better and, when executing properly, achieving better distance off the tee. I plan to continue this program as part of my exercise regimen.” – CCHC Golf Performance Program Participant
“This winter I took the CCHC Golf Performance analysis and five sessions with Matt. Over my 40+ years of playing golf, I have taken oodles of golf lessons and clinics, but the Performance Center was unique. By focusing on body mechanics and evaluating what my body could and could not do physically, it gave me greater confidence that I was safely using my body, and Matt provided exercises and techniques to leverage my capabilities to improve my club head speed. He was extremely knowledgeable about both the body and the golf swing - a rare combination. Hopefully this season I’ll see results on my score, but more importantly I know how to continue playing for years to come.” – CCHC Golf Performance Program Participant
“I'm all upper body, I don’t use my legs and most golfers use their legs. So, Catherine’s created this whole program – and it’s so fascinating – to strengthen the lower body. And I have little aches and pains, and we’re working on how to release those aches and pains and then vastly improve my game.” – CCHC Golf Performance Program Participant
