Personalized Care for Sleep Disorders

Our sleep health professionals have the skills and resources to diagnose and treat a variety of sleep disorders, including:

  • Excessive snoring
  • Insomnia
  • Narcolepsy
  • Restless legs syndrome
  • Sleep apnea
  • Sleepwalking

Sleep Lab at Falmouth Hospital

At our Sleep Lab, you may undergo a painless, effective study to determine if you have a sleep disorder. This study, called a polysomnography, involves charting your brain waves, breathing and other parameters as you sleep. You’ll spend the night in a comfortable bed in our Sleep Lab with electrodes attached to your head, legs and chest.

Sleep Apnea testing

For patients with symptoms of sleep apnea, the Sleep Lab can provide at-home testing equipment [pdf] to test sleep quality in the comfort of your own bed. An easy-to-use monitor provides a high-quality sleep apnea assessment, minimizing the fatigue that can follow an inpatient test.

Our experienced sleep health professionals will do their best to make you feel comfortable during this study and answer any questions you may have. After the study, a sleep specialist will review your data and a report with treatment recommendations will be sent to your doctor.

A physician’s referral is required to make an appointment with our Sleep Lab. Talk with your doctor about your sleep problems.
