Blood Portal Instructions
First time Cape Cod Healthcare Blood Donors
Welcome and thank you for your interest in donating blood with Cape Cod Healthcare. If you have never donated blood with Cape Cod Healthcare before, please follow the following steps to register for an upcoming blood drive.
- After accessing the Blood Drive Portal, select “Schedule an Appointment” or “Find a blood drive” to register to donate at an upcoming blood drive.
- Enter the required information in the requested fields.
Donation Site type:
- Center = Nicholas G. Xiarhos Blood Donor Center at Cape Cod Hospital
- Mobile = blood drives we have scheduled throughout the community.
- All = both of the above.
- Leave Mobile Code unchecked.
- Then select Search Donation Locations.
- Scroll down the page to find a blood drive where you would like to donate. Click the blue calendar icon to the left side of your preferred blood drive. This will take you to the appointment page for the location you have selected.
- Scroll down the appointment page and click on the time you would like to donate (open appointment times will be shown with a blue background). A schedule appointment box will appear. Please complete the requested information and select “schedule.”
- An appointment confirmation box will then appear. Please review the information and select “confirm.”
That’s it – you have successfully made an appointment. You will soon receive a confirmation email.

Once you have donated blood with Cape Cod Healthcare you will receive a Donor ID. You can then login to the Donor Portal with your Donor ID as an existing donor to view your past donations, and view your vitals obtained during screening. Recent donation information is available approximately 24 hours after each donation.
Returning Cape Cod Healthcare blood donors
Welcome and thank you for your support of the Cape Cod Healthcare Blood Donor Program.
When accessing the donor portal for the first time, please follow the steps below to set up access to your personal donor profile.
- After accessing the Blood Drive Portal, click on “Login” in the upper right-hand corner.
- This will take you to the Login page. Click “Create New Account”. You will need your email address and your CCHC Donor ID to create an account. If you do not know your donor ID, please email jdecoste@capecodhealth.org.
Please Note: If you did not provide an email address when you donated, or if the information you enter does not match the information in our donor center records, you will not be able to access your profile. Please email jdecoste@capecodhealth.org if you need assistance.
- Enter the required information in the requested fields. Click “confirm” when all information has been filled in.
- You will then receive an activation code through email. Once you receive the code, enter it to activate your account.
- After entering your code, you will be returned to the login screen where you can now enter your email address and password to login.
Once you are logged in, you can:
- Select “Profile” to update your user information or download a donor card.
- Select “Appointments” to find your eligibility date and see where you have scheduled your next appointment.
- Select “Previous Donations” to see your blood type and most recent donations. Click the down arrow next to the date of your donation to see the physical findings from your Health History (Recent donation information is available approximately 24 hours after each donation).
