Dementia & Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support

Caring for someone who has Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia can be a difficult physical, emotional, and mental challenge.

The Dementia & Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support program provides information, education and support to caregivers managing the complex needs of those living with a dementia.

Though Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia, there are as many as 50 other forms of dementia, often creating confusion for caregivers. Regardless of the dementia diagnosis, this program will help caregivers better understand their role while providing support and guidance to manage the challenges that lie ahead.

Having a proactive care plan in place that changes as the disease progresses is essential for maintaining the highest quality of life for all involved. A skilled dementia specialist can anticipate the changing needs of the caregiver and the care recipient, provide guidance and support, and connect families to the vast number of community resources.
